Celebrating Grandma’s 90th

Time in Australia celebrating grandma’s 90th

I took some time to take a trip back to Australia to attend my grandmother, Gwen Robinson’s 90th birthday party. I definitely hope that I have some of her longevity genes running through my body. She definitely is very with it in her mind and she was up there dancing as well so you know she definitely has lots of life in her. It was really nice to catch up and see a lot of family that I haven’t seen over the years. There are some great perks about being an International Event Rider but with that also comes the sacrifices with the main one being that you don’t always get to be with your family and the ones you love as much as you’d like. It was nice to catch up with some of the more distant relatives that I don’t get to see very often. It was a real celebration of our family and something I have not done for a while because I have been away.

And I actually took time with my best friend, Michael Dagostino aka The Bomber as he was doing his first CIC3* at Dryandra”. We went and gave him a bit of lesson during the week at the Showgrounds Equestrian Center and attended the event on the weekend and he jumped a lovely clear show-jumping round. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with many of the riders I used to compete against in Western Australia.
