We started the journey in Fairburn, Georgia at Carl Bouckaert’s stunning property, Chattahoochee Hills. Tuesday and Wednesday consisted of morning clinic sessions with the afternoon left free to ride my own 6 horses that were competing on the weekend. We had a great couple of days training in the amazing facilities provided at Chattahoochee Hills followed by refreshing dips in the lake to cool off. The weekend competition proved to be a busy one for myself and the Fredericks Equestrian International team combining riding the 6 young sales horses and coaching a number of the clinic participants on their respective horses. I am happy to say the training paid off for both myself and my students with all my horses going clear in both the XC and Show-Jumping and all finishing in the placings and a number of my students achieving placings in their classes. FE Black Jack was the star of the weekend in my team winning the Open Training Division. I have to say a huge Thank-You to Hugh Lochore and the organizers at Chatt Hills for putting on 2 great competitions. They really look after the horses and riders making it a very enjoyable competition.
