Canadian Team Training and Great Meadows WEG Preparation Event

The following week saw the team have a last minute change of plan and head to Virginia with the horses. The initial plan was to send the horses back to Florida and fly to Virginia but once the geography of America was explained to us it was decided that it made much more sense to continue on with the road trip. Luckily Darrin Mollett at Beverley Equestrian was able to provide us with 6 stables on short notice for the week and the use of the amazing facilities that are on offer in this exceptional facility. Once again it was an educational week for all the horses managing to take full advantage of the XC course on offer.

Beverley Equestrian was also kind enough to allow the Canadian Training sessions to take place on it’s venue. The week provided the opportunity to work with both and Jess and Selena individually in a relaxed environment with the focus on providing training that would be of benefit at the upcoming World Equestrian Games in France. The weekend was the opportunity to practice in a competition environment as both girls were able to compete at Great Meadows, which the US team had put on as their Preparation Event before heading out to France. Perfect conditions allowed all horses to have a great final run and all is on track for WEG.

Our week in Virginia finished and we have now returned to Ocala with one less horse. Darrin Mollett of Beverley Equestrian is now the proud owner of Bebop and we wish her all the success for the future and look forward to seeing them out there competing soon!
