Richland was a record breaking week for Clayton and FE Bowman winning the CCI2**, finishing on their dressage score of 30.5. This was Clayton’s lowest ever score at a FEI Event! Competing 4 horses, it was a successful weekend for the team with all horses finishing in the placings.
FE Spring Break (Siggy), a 6 year old owned by Zunee Van der Linde finished 5th in the Preliminary Horse division. This was a big step up in class for Siggy and he showed he was ready for the challenge
FE Money Made (Connor), a 6 year old owned by syndicate members Amanda Bernhard, Diana Crawford, Michael Dagostino, Eckart Siewert and Clayton Fredericks competed in his first international event finishing 2nd in the CIC1*. Scoring an amazing 36.8 in the Dressage, Connor showed his class and talent finishing on this score. 1st place in this section was Rendezvous with Charly ridden by Alexander O’Neal, a horse sourced and sold by Fredericks Equestrian in 2013!
RF Cool Play (Coolio), a 7 year old owned by Alexa Perkiel continued his amazing form finishing 6th in the CCI2**. Already a 2** winner in May at Chattahoochee Hills International, Coolio had the disadvantage of an early morning dressage test but still scored a 45. He showed his talent cruising around the XC, taking all the straight routes to finish clear inside the time.
FE Bowman (Bowie), a 7 year old owned by syndicate members Amanda Bernhard, Diana Crawford, Michael Dagostino, Eckart Siewert and Clayton Fredericks chose this weekend to showcase his enormous potential and talent leading from the beginning with a foot perfect dressage test and then finishing the weekend on his amazing score of 30.5.
” I couldn’t be happier with how the horses performed at Richland and it was great to have the chance to compete at this event and put the last few months training into practice. To bring 4 young horses to an event like this and have them all perform so well is a testament to my team both in Canada and Florida. It has been an incredibly busy couple of months for me with my focus on the Pan American Games so to have the horses fit and ready to achieve these results is due to a huge team effort. The win on Bowie was incredibly satisfying. While he has always showed the talent and scope to succeed at the top-level, his performance in the past has suffered somewhat from nerves in the ring. This week at Richland he felt very relaxed in all 3 phases and really took everything in his stride. Connor once again showed his class with a mistake free week. He has never finished below 2nd in all his competitions in 2015 so good results are somewhat expected of him! Coolio and Siggy both gave me great rides and showed their class and potential for the future”. – Clayton
It was also an exciting weekend with the addition of a new member to the team – Rastas Fredericks. A huge thank to Joe and Ruthie Meyer for giving us such an amazing puppy!
