FE Bowman continued his good form in 2016 winning the Open Intermediate at Rocking Horse finishing on his dressage score of 28.5. The weekend also saw the successful upgrade to Intermediate of FE Money Made and FE Dominic. Money Made was impressive in the dressage scoring a 26.30 to lead his section but unfortunately 1 rail in the Show-Jumping dropped him down the order to an eventual 2nd place finish. Clayton was still incredibly pleased with this young horse’s performance and is looking forward to competing him at the upcoming 2** at Red Hills International. FE Dominic showed off her impressive jumping style with a beautiful clear round SJ and an easy clear around the XC.
FE Subiaco and FE Caison continued their consistent form with another double clear in the Preliminary section both finishing 5th.
The Training section showed the US debut for FE Lifestyle who had a great first event finishing on his dressage score, giving the jumps plenty of air. Also competing in the Training section was the lovely mare Liebchen owned by Chuck and Peggy Moore. This mare is based at Fredericks Equestrian to be sold and she had a lovely run around the training course and will now compete in the Preliminary at Ocala. Clayton also competed FE Akari for Annick Niemuller who has been busy in Canada finishing school. They jumped a great double clear and we now look forward to seeing Annick compete Akari at future shows!
Fredericks Equestrian students finished off the weekend with some great results including
Emma Johnston & FE Coconut Kiss – 2nd Training Rider
Maya Wentz & FE Mind the Gap – 5th Novice Rider
April Simmonds & Quebec – 11th Intermediate Rider
Victoria Garland – FE Capricino – 7th Open Training
