Plantation Field International

Hello all,

After a summer of packed full of long drives and competition, my wife Lisa and I were lucky to get to take a few weeks to go back home to Australia to celebrate our recent marriage with our families. Upon returning to back to Florida, my team and I began prepping our FEI horses for Plantation Field International in Pennsylvania. Our trip took a little bit of a slow start as Hurricane Irma delayed our leaving a few days, but it was none the less a trip well worth it. I had the opportunity to pilot FE Ophelia around another CIC*** as well as one of our talented sales horses FE Schoensgreen Hanna around her first FEI event in the CIC*. Ophelia gave me another solid weekend by showing off her progress in the dressage scoring a 44 and continuing to be a powerhouse in both jumping phases ending in 15th in a strong field of 47 starters. I was really pleased with Hanna through out the weekend. She started out leading the CIC* after dressage and cross country, but a couple of green rails moved her down to 6th place. Overall it was a rather successful weekend for my team and I. All of my students earned the qualifying runs they were aiming for in order to move towards the bigger goal of competing at the Ocala Jockey Club CCI at the end of November.

The next stop for our team is Stable View Advanced Oktoberfest Horse Trials with FE Ophelia, FE Coldplay, FE Stiff Upper Lip and FE Schoensgreen Hanna, so make sure to keep up with us as we keep the fall rolling!

Cheers,
Clayton
