With this weekend at Grand Oaks Resort, Clayton and the Fredericks Equestrian team are ready to start the 2019 Eventing season
The last few months have been busy with the “off season” schooling, putting in the time with each horse to work on their weaknesses and develop the skills necessary for them to upgrade to the next level.
After spending the last few years developing his string of young horses, 2019 will be a big year for Clayton with an amazing team of horses to compete at the FEI levels.
FE Ophelia leads the team and will be heading to Kentucky 5***** in April in what will be her first 5***** and Clayton’s return to the level after 6 years. FE Stormtrooper will look to build on his successful Advanced debut last year building up to the CCI4**** – L at Jersey Fresh. FE Coldplay and FE Vindus will be stepping up to the 3*** level with a possible trip to Bromont in June for their first CCI3*** – L. FE Money Made and FE Bowman are on track to return after some time off last year and be aiming at some of the Fall events. Sale horses FE Always In Time and FE Smokey Water FBW will continue to be competed by Clayton up the levels with FE Always in Time scheduled to have his first Advanced run in March and FE Smokey Water upgrading to Intermediate and a possible CCI3*** – S run at Carolina International.
Running alongside the International horses will be the exciting Sales Horse team. Eckart Siewert has sourced an exceptional bunch of young horses yet again and we are looking forward to competing these exciting 5, 6 and 7 year olds while they are still on the market.
